In 1944 and 1945 a desperate Germany played its last card of the Second World War, launching its new and deadly 'Vengeance Weapons' at London. These long-range rockets, developed at the personal request of Adolf Hitler, caused nightly terror to the citizens of London and more than 35,000 casualties. This unique tour visits the remains of launching sites of both the V1 'buzz bomb' and the V2 rocket in northern France, and a number of museums and exhibits which tell the story of this remarkable chapter of history. We will also see the launch site of the little-known V3 super-cannon, a long range artillery battery designed to rain shells on London at a range of more than 165 kilometres. You will be escorted on this unique tour by an expert historian.
